Politician in Australia vs Iran

I was born in Iran and have lived in Australia since 2012, so I am an Australian/Iranian citizen with experience living and working in both countries.

In Australia/Queensland, this weekend is a long weekend. Despite the fact that Australia is suffering from the COVID 19 pandemic and that some areas are turning black on a daily basis, life goes on and ordinary people try to save money to spend time with their families in vacation destinations such as the Gold Coast in reasonably priced accommodations such as the Mantra Hotel.

Last night, the deputy premier of Queensland was staying in the same hotel as my family, and he and his family were using the same hotel facilities as an ordinary person.

Meanwhile, in Iran, a very low-ranking member of a council of a nomad town in the middle of nowhere armed himself/herself with body guards and protective personnel.

This is why living in a transparent country like Australia is a good idea.
